How do I remove everyday stains from clothing?

Like when you sit down on a dirty curb and black soot goes on the back of your favourite white shirt, or when you’re playing sports and sweating and dirt or oil from your skin get onto your clothes?

I regular washing still leaves a faint grey or yellow residue on my clothes!

My mom recommends soaking putting water and soap powder in a bucket and soaking the shirt, but it’s sometimes ineffective. Does adding washing liquid or baking soda to the water help?

Im looking for a simple method, as I’ve no time to scrub every single one of my clothes clean everyday or anything like that.

I use Lestoil. I’ve even used it to even take tar out of clothes. It smells bad, but you do get results. The smell washes out with regular laundry soap or dry with sofener sheets. So far, I’ve not found anything that can do what it can. I’ve even tried Oxy-Clean and such. Lestoil has other uses as well, which you’ll see by reading the label.

yes your mother is correct, soak the clothes but before that treat the stain with Shout and rub it with your hands to loosen the dirt , then soak in soap and water for a few hours ,after that wash them in the washer and make sure that the water comes out clear on the final rinse.

White clothing (read the label) and see if you can use bleach, if so then add all white clothes and 1/2cup of bleach to the water and that will take the stains out and also brighten your clothes. (only white clothes can go in the wash.
Take a empty spray bottle and add 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol and 2 caps of dishwasher detergent (dawn) have this ready at all times it will take care of most stains and will not harm the clothes no matter what color. spray the stain and gently rub the stain and rinse it under the faucet and do it again until the stain is gone..or soak it and add it into the washer .

put some dawn dish soap on it.
let it dry.
then wash it.
works for me.
