dot-dot-dot-dot-dot: How do you “record” ideas for conceptual photgraphy?
I really want to get into photograpy.
But Im a writer. Im used to “writing my ideas” to save them. But, with photography its harder. Do you do a sketch or what?

Whatever works for you. What’s wrong with writing your ideas down? There are no rules here.
If you see something that inspires you in anyway, take a picture of it.
Since you’re a writer, think of what you would write about.
But instead of using your words to express yourself, grab a camera and Try and capture it with the what you see.
It’s up to you to make the photography tell the story.
Great photographers know how to tell stories with their pictures in my opinion(:
Good luck!
