clifford_tucker: How do you pop a tennis ball off of the ground using your foot and your racket?
I am a definite tennis player, and its always a pain to pick up the balls after tennis practice. I’ve seen my coach and some other players use their racket and their foot to pop the tennis ball off the ground. Can anyone tell me the basics on how to do this?

1. Move ball next to side of foot
2. Move leg up, ball will bounce
3. hit bouncing ball with racket to increase height
4. grab ball with hand, simple as that
I have played for 30 years and I have never bother to learn that trick. I think of picking up the ball as break for the running and hitting. It let me catch my breathe.Answer by Brown Mamba
I think it is hard to explain it in text but i found this on youtube
video is kinda lame but it does show you better.
Answer by JuliaFirst put you foot against the ball.
Then, take your racket and put it against the other side of the ball, so the ball is sandwiched between your foot and racket.
Bend your knees ad pull the ball up with your racket and foot
The ball should pop up so now let it bounce on the ground and hit the ball against the ground for it to bounce high enough for you to grab it.Answer by David
1)put the ball on the inside of your left foot(if lefty inside of your right foot)
2)place your racquet next to the ball
3)bring your racquet and your foot up at the same time, kinda flicking your foot
