Rachel: how do you make a Quaker parrot not start squawking at sunrise?
When the sun comes up, then Baby, my Quaker parrot won’t shut up until my mom wakes up and takes her out of her cage.

are you covering her cage? if not place a dark cover over it to block out the sun
Covering the cage at night with a sheet can help this. As well as closed blinds. Some birds will still squawk. It’s a very normal thing for all birds to sing in the morning and just before bed time. Also, if you give the bird attention of any kind while doing an unwanted thing they will continue to do so b/c you gave them attention. Even yelling at the bird to be quiet is some sort of attention. If you want the bird to stop doing anything unwanted you simply need to ignore the bird.
