I don’t agree with it. There are several other holidays throughout the year and I don’t decorate a tree for them, but I do for Christmas. Therefore it is a Christmas tree!Answer by yooooooo

It is a CHRISTMAS TREE. I have a Christmas tree. For some reason this has recently become a problem, putting the word christmas in store advertisements and such. Well, people need to get over it. This was not a problem before, im so sick of hearing how “offended” people are with the word christmas….when thats what it is, its not “holiday” its christmas. everyone can celebrate their own holiday, im not offended, so why are they?Answer by ryangadia
People who are oversensitive about replacing everything “Christmas” with “Holiday” irritate me. If it affects non-Christians so much, they should just petition Congress to declare their religious holidays as official holidays, and they can name those and all objects associated with those whatever they want
Tough luck for aethists though. I don’t think we’ll see a holiday especially for them anytime soon.
Answer by John OThe problems are caused by the politically correct minority of anal retentives who want these things changed so that no one could become offended.
They are actually making pre emptive changes rather than reacting to something that someone has complained about. I would put money on it that no one has complained about Christmas Trees.
Answer by WulfieThis is kinda interesting. From what I understand, the first “christmas” trees were actually sites of pagan human sacrifice and the ornaments were actually human organs.
When Christianity got to the parts of Northern Europe they started telling the pagans to stop killing children and hanging their body parts on trees. They taught the pagans to start making ornaments and hence: The Christmas Tree was born.
So call it what you want. The Christians invented the tree to stop human sacrafice.
Answer by flyin520It’s politically correct nonsense. You can all the tree whatever the heck you want to, I don’t think it changes the meaning. It just surprises me that there are people small and angry enough to care so much. I am an atheist, and the tree in my home is Christmas tree!
