Devilishly Sexy MasterMinD: How do you feel about the increasing involvement of politics in world cricket?
First there’s the IPL snub of the Pakistani players, then Shiv Sena threatening to bar Aussie players from playing on indian soil.
While other sports like football, tennis, basketball etc. are relatively free from politics, cricket is slowly becoming a victim.
How do you feel about this, and what could be possible solutions?

Its not anybodies fault. Its bloody indian politicians who will do anything to publicise their name.80% of them are useless and had done nothing for this country.Shiv sena is one of them. All they can do is to create a new agenda to fight while there is hundreds of problem in this country which need their attention.
It’s an internal Indian thing, no-one else has this problem. Not in any sport, even cricket, only India.Answer by vsssarma
Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navanirman Sena are proprietary business houses of Balasaheb Thackeray and his nephew Raj Thackeray. Both of them made huge money in this politics business. They incited people one against another and killed many people. The only way they can be stopped is by being rough – use the State force and don’t allow them to raise their head.Answer by SARANATHAN L

I wish the Indians would rediscover sportsmanship and humility.
I’m going to be frank and say I don’t see any other nation politicising the sport like the Indians.
Answer by LalaWell, as long as there are groups as you mentioned India will be prone to such things. My advice is –
Big names from the country should heavily criticize this, not only movie stars but also other Indian sport stars such as Sachin Tendulkar, Vishwanathan Anand, Pankaj Advani, Sania Mirza and many more such names should come on heavy on these politicians. Because we Indians either follow our movie stars or either follow our sport stars. This will certainly do some favours to sports in India.
