Maryco: How do you choose sutible intervals and group data in maths?

Always do these increments in multiples of 2s or 5s. In Climate Graphs it sometimes is a good idea to use 3s as the increment in the temperature axis.
Determine the RANGE of the data points. If the maximum data point is 4100 and the minimum is 2, it would be a bad idea to do the increment in 2s or 5s, but instead in 10s or 50s or 100s. This is an intuitive choice based more on your data than any other factors. If you have a lot of data points you might want to make the intervals smaller for greatest accuracy.
