Growth vs Oil: How do we get government to stop spending and make Capitalism fix its own problems?
I am sick of government covering up the fading generations greed and mistakes in Capitalism. Government spending is like a draft, yes it will end the war sooner but drafts and spending is political suicide and highly unpopular.

Capitalism is all about freedom, letting people decide what they want to produce, what they want to consume, where they want to work, etc…

For that reason, you cannot MAKE it do anything.

I have a question for you….when would you say is the period of time of at least 4 consecutive decades that the USA had its longest period and best overall period of economic overrall prosperity? What years range would say that was? how do you feel about the period between 1945 and 1985? sounds good?

Now describe the USA of that time period..describe the type of policies that we had generally speaking across a wide spectrum of areas…say tax policy, trade policy, fiscal restrait (deficits, or low deficits), regulatory as far as wall street and banks, did corporations pay more or less of their profits towards taxes, were the tax bracket tax rates higher or lower, did we have social programs or did we not have them…did we do things for the country like a space program and spend lots of money on that etc…
