joemun: How do the baseball rules work?
I only want to know what the numbers mean on the top of the screen when someone is on bat. Like it will show 2-2. I think it has something to do with foul balls and strikes, but what determines if its a strike or foul ball? How does a baseball player get a walk off, is it four consecutive bad pitches?

2 – 2 represents two balls and two strikes on the batter that is currently up to bat.
Strikes are pitches that are within a strike zone that is judged by an umpire. A foul ball is considered a “swinging” strike. Once you get 3 strikes on you (doesn’t have to be in succession) then your out unless you swing and the ball is not directly caught by the catcher. You can not strike out on a foul ball unless the catcher catches it.
A walk off home run is when the home team wins with a home run in the last inning of the game.
Answer by slamshrk31the number represents: the number of balls thrown to the current batter & the number of strikes thrown. a foul ball is a strike. but if you have 2 strikes, and you hit a foul ball, the count doesnt change. it will still say 0-2 or 2-2 or w/e. there will still be 2 strikes. dont know exactly why but thats how the rules are.
a walk off is a game winning hit for the home team anytime after the 8th innning. if a player scores the game winning run in the bottom half of the final inning of a game, it is a walkoff.Answer by You Go Pro Baseball
The numbers when someone is at bat are the count. A batter gets either 3 strikes or 4 balls per at bat to hit the baseball. If he gets 3 strikes before he gets 4 balls then he is out. Vice versa, if he gets 4 balls before 3 strikes he walks. The four balls don’t have to be consecutive. It’s only called a walk. A walk off is usually describing a home run, a hit, or a walk that scores the winning run when the home team is batting in the ninth inning. It is called a walk off because once the winning run scores, the home team doesn’t have to play defense for the next half inning, they can just “walk off” the field. no a walk off is when a player hits a homer or a hit that brings in a winning run and about counts 2-2 means 2 balls and 2 strikes when somebody gets 3 strikes their out and when they get 4 balls they get to take a baseAnswer by Cody
The numbers at the top of the screen ex: 1-2 show the balls and strikes. The balls come first so the 1 would mean the player has 1 ball in that current at- bat. The second number are the strikes, so the batter has 2 strikes of them. A foul ball is considered a strike, but a player cannot get out if he keeps hitting foul balls. A walk off is when the home team gets a hit to win the game in the bottom of the 9th. Its very dramatic and exciting.
