How do i write a notice so owners know not to let their pets poop on our lawn?

Suzanne P: How do i write a notice so owners know not to let their pets poop on our lawn?
It’s been happening from a while now and a few pets in our neighborhoodhave chosen our lawn as their litter box. In addition, the owners haven’t cleaned up after their pets. My dad has had the unfortunate experience of stepping in the poo several times. Is there a polite but firm way to write a notice to not allow pets to go on our lawn?

Visit these neighbors and explain the problem. If they simple ignore you, then you have the right to call and issue a complaint with the local police as these neighbors are letting their dogs run loose. If all else fails, shoot ’em!! The owners not the pets. Just kidding!!

Do you know who’s dog it is? Do they let their dog litter your lawn during their walk or they let their dog wonder alone?

My neighbor would always take his dog out for a walk off leash. The dog would wonder around and poop on people’s lawn without him knowing. I saw him out one day and told him politely his dog used my lawn as his bathroom. It never happened again after that.

If you know where these people live, use a pooper scooper and take their dogs pop and dump in on their front lawn. If that doesn’t work then maybe they need it placed on their front door step or their mail box.
They’ll soon get the message. If they understood what polite means they wouldn’t let their dogs poop on your lawn and just leave it there.

They make little signs you can put up –

If you ever SEE someone letting their dog poop and not picking it up, then go out and confront them. It’s their job to pick up after their dog AND it’s the law – if they get huffy about it then you know who they are, just report them to the proper authorities. Remember YOU are in the right, THEY are in the wrong.

Cleaning up after your dog is important – feces is how SOME parasites are spread. It’s also disgusting to walk in your yard and step in poop…..

my old neighbor had a yorkie that he always let poop onour lawn. he never picked it up so one day my mom got so mad she got a plastic bag that had the poop and put it on his grass,

i would do this if they ignored you and continued to use your lawn as a litter box.
you could also file a complaint and they could get fined
