How do i start playing baseball at 24?

Deepinder: How do i start playing baseball at 24?
I am 24 and have never played baseball. I have played similar form of game, cricket, for all my life. I have played 4 years for my college cricket team, two years as captain. I am starting to love baseball these days. I just wanna know how can start from ground level in baseball for my age? I am very desperate to play this wonderful game. I believe i have the talent to do so. Suggestions much needed.

Try checking out your local community centre. Sometimes teams will organize themselves there, or put up flyers.

coming from an experienced ball player….you really need to watch the games and understand how the game is played….know all the rules and regulations and def. practice! if i were you i would start going to the batting cages every single day! i would get some friends together that know the game well and have them teach you…i would buy all my baseball equiptment including batting gloves,mitts,bats,balls….if you have a local high school team nearby practice with them….i would start low level adult slow pitch softball and get a feel for the game, then work your way up to adult fast pitch baseball,then possibly semi pro,then if your good enough maybe even pro! all you need to do is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! oh and choose what kindof player you want to be if you know names like Albert Pujols,Derek Jeter,Alex Rodriguez,Manny Ramirez,Torii Hunter,Chase Utley they all have set positions on the field in wich they play set your mind to being the best player on the field and in a matter of years you could be good enough!
