justme: How do I shrink my desktop backround picture to fit on the screen right?
I have a jpeg picture saved in my files that I selected as my desktop backround. When I go into Control Panel, Display properties, Desktop, and select the Position, Stretch is the only way to get the entire picture on the screen but it’s all “stretched” out to the sides and distorted. If I select Center or Tile Position it is giant and only fits a small portion of the pic on the screen. Please help!

You can open it in paint and try to change the dimensions to desired, but the quality of it might change..
The problem is not the size of your pic, it’s the dimensions proportion. It’s taller than it is wide, right?
You’re going to have to edit, crop actually, to make it roughly 4:3, or 16:9 if you have a wide-screen monitor. So use an image editor program to crop the top and/or bottom of the pic. Paint is already on your computer, altho it’s kind of hard to use.
