Okay, so I want an industrial piercing and my dad is perfectly fine with it. At first, my mom said it was okay, and I thought I had told her what an industrial is and everything and she said it was fine. So today, me and my dad went to the tattoo shop and I was going to get my ear done and my dad was getting a tattoo, but then the tattooer asked if we could come back later because he over booked himself. We said okay, then when I got home my mom suddenly changed her mind. I don’t see why though, she agreed before. I mean, I’m paying for it, she’ll rarely ever see it because of my hair, and it’s supposed to be my birthday present. Plus I brought home my report card thing yesterday and I have good grades, so i don’t understand why she changed her mind. But anyways, my question is how do I convince her to change her mind? I’ve been wanting this piercing for like, a year now, so it bugs me that she won’t let me get it.

Tell your mom that you will clean your ear regularly so it won’t get infected. Ask her why she won’t let you get your ear pierced. I think you earned this with good grades. Try to discuss this calmly with her to prove to her that you are mature about it.
