Isabel: How to teach yourself ballet at home without a teacher?
So before you ask if I have taken ballet, for four-five years. I have not been to a ballet class for 2-3 years, but I still dance around the house and am quite flexible. I take tap/ clogging and am taking hip hop class from the internet. The year I last took ballet I was one step from pointe shoes. So I was wondering if there are any internet sources for ballet at home classes. Right now I am 13 years of age and I am always the top dancer in my classes. I am going to get new ballet shoes and going to sew the ribbons on. So please tell me where there are some websites or whatever to have classes. I am planning to be a back-up dancer when I am older and of course to do that I have to be educated in all subjects. Also, If anyone is going to say you can’t dance without a teacher, it is just a waste of your time. All your comments are highly appreciated.

Do not attempt to dance on pointe without instruction from a qualified instructor. The chance of injury is too great.
You could certainly continue in your flat ballet shoes at home as long as you have adequate space and a proper bar. Do complete warm ups every time before working along with a video.
Answer by Madison EsseryBallet shouldn’t be taken by online classes or taught by your self and definitely not pointe work. It is very different from tap or hip-hop because it takes a lot more technique and training. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Not trying to be mean, but it’s not worth the harm your doing to yourself.
Good luck with everything and I hope I have helped!
