Live4Fashion: How can my sister tell when her period is going to start?
My sister is 11, almost 12, and I am trying to be a good sister and all by helping her out when she gets her first period. She’s been getting some white-ish discharge, and her breasts are sore. This has been going on for a couple of months or so. The sore breast have not been going on as long. Can anyone estimate when her first period will start?

Well the white discharge isn’t exactly because you’re about to start your period. I read this book about girls reaching puberty and the discharge is the vagina cleaning itself(: as disgusting as that may sound. But with the whole breast pain thing, that is probably a sign that she will start very soon, like within a month and a half. Starting your period is a very exciting thing though, you should tell her that in case she seems nervous about it and tell her not to worry. Hope this helped & (thxs sooo much for answering mine)
