HuhiHa: How can I start building credit?
how can i start making credit? if no one will approve a credit card without having credit. I am in college and applied for a credit card and it was denied for having “insufficient credit history”. I’ve tried opening small credit accounts at shopping places, and same thing… Any suggestions…

The only way you can get credit is to have credit in the first place.
Weird to say but unfortunately its the truth.
Now the best way to start with credit is to go and get approved for a low amount say 250$ on a credit card.
Master Card usually has no problem handing out those kind of cards. Canadian Tire or stores like that can issue you a credit card.
Once you have the card its just a matter of buying a few trinkets each month and pay for them. in the span of 6 months your credit should be good enough to give you a good credit basis.
