Cheketeta: How can I recover Microsoft products after completing a system recover?
I recovered the computer back to the factory settings and I lost all of my Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access. I have talked to Sony and they have done nothing to resolve my issue. My laptop was a gift for my graduation & I am almost 100% sure the programs were preinstalled. Is there any way I could get them back or a way to download them for free?

You should be able to reinsert your restore disc and select “Restore Individual Programs”.
You may have to access this through the “Advanced System Restore” option.
I’m not sure of the names of these two options so look for something similar to the ones I suggested.
When you get to this option, select the program you want to restore and follow the steps.
Good Luck!
Answer by The PhlebobYou can’t. Even though you did a non-destructive System Recovery, the Registry — a big system file with bits of information about nearly all programs on the computer — was still reset. So Office’s programs are still physically on the machine, but Windows has forgotten all about them having been installed.
You have to reinstall them from the original medium. In fact, because of loose ends from the System Recovery, it’s usually a good idea to reinstall, then turn around and UNinstall to clean things up, then reinstall yet again.
If you paid extra for Office, rather than just got a free trial copy, you should still have received an installation CD with the Product Key on it. I hope you can find it.
Good luck.
