Sabrina: How can I do gymnastics without driving my parents insane with so much driving?
I want to do gymnastics, but my parents don’t want to drive me to class. I’ve done a fair amount of gymnastics, so I know the basics, and I have 7 years of ballet training, so I’m pretty flexible and graceful. Does anyone have any suggestions for I DVD or training video? After I prove to my parents that I really am interested, they’ll take me to class. I am also pretty strong, and I bike about 13 miles everyday. I really want to learn gymnastics, so please help!

Google gymnastics DVD’s to buy, or get how-to’s to learn to do basic gymnastic skills, (www.wikihow.com) and then once you learn these things, show your parents, there is a book you can get they sale it at books-a-million or americangirl.com it is called girls love gymnastics. If none of this works, ask yourself what is the problem with taking you to gymnastics? Is it a long drive? remember gas is expensive, maybe agree to go to a gym closer to you, or help your parents pay for the gas. Make a deal with them, like if you sign me up for gymnastics, i will pay for my school clothes and supplies for this year (thats what i did). Or do they have some kind of personal issue with gymnastics, one of my friends parents will not allow her to be a cheerleader, because she thinks that they are just asking for trouble. If they do have an issue like this with gymnastics, talk to them about it, and truly assure them that everything will be fine, and it is completely sterotypical to think that just because you are in a sport that you are “asking for trouble” or whatever.
Is your gymnastics school far from your place? Try going there by yourself or have a classmate pick you up on the way.Answer by gymnasticschica96
Fund a local gymnastics center. Where do you live(city, not whole adress).
