: How can I cover up my stretch marks for a gymnastics competition?
I’ve got stretch marks on my thighs over the past month and they’re bright reddish purple in colour. I’ve got a gymnastics competition coming up and I’m obviously going to have to wear a leotard for that, but I don’t want everyone to see the stretch marks, because it’d be embarrassing (duh). Should I use make-up or what?

palmers cocoa butter. my ex wife used it with success.
Mederma I think is what it is called. Bear with me here, but it is used on pregnant women for when they get stretch marks, and it works wonders. Cocoa butter also does the same trick. Another option, try tanning. If you don’t like the beds, use the self-tanning lotion you can purchase at drugstores. Being tan helps hide stretch marks. I have stretch marks on my inner thighs, and when I get tan in the summer, they always seem to fade a lot.Answer by GumChewer

As Michael said, cocoa butter is a very good remedy to help stretch marks heal up a bit, and make them less noticeable.
Although, if you’re really self conscious about them, I’d say the only real cure for it is makeup. Nothing else is really going to clear them up that fast. There are ways to tone them down over time, but it takes time.
In the future though, there are some other types of creams that work quite well. Some are prescription though, so you’d have to talk to your doctor in that case.
Best of luck sweetie! And if it was up to me, I just wouldn’t worry about it! I’m sure they aren’t even as noticeable as you think!

Answer by ms.wrightIf you use makeup it might start running when you get hot and start sweating, unless you use makeup that wont run. The only thing to do is put on some very sheer stockings that matches your skin tone, and you wont even notice. Good luck in the competition!!Answer by evhaemoglobin
You can get spray makeup (usually it’s for legs) to try and cover them up, just make sure it’s waterproof though. Lot’s of people also swear by fake tan to even out their skin and make things like stretch marks disappear. Maybe a tattoo covering kit would be the best idea, but they’re pricey.
Don’t stress about it though, it’s unlikely that anyone will notice!! Also, another good remedy that is proven to lessen their appearance over time is cocoa butter, you can get creams containing cocoa butter at lots of stores like sephora or the body shop. What has really worked for me is Therapy massage bar by the company LUSH. You should check it out!!
