chris.swimmer: How can I bring my social networking website idea to reality?
I have what I think is a decent idea for a new type of social networking site. I know, join the club. But I don’t have the skills and I don’t really know anyone with the ability to bring it to fruition. Is there any way to maybe pitch it to someone without risking my idea being stolen? I’d really to see it, honestly, just because I think it would be useful have around. A couple extra million or so in the bank would be nice, too, of course.

Look for financing!
Ide get it copyrighted first and then proceed, if you don’t know anyone with the capabilities to do the idea and you are confident in it get it patented, copyrighted etc and then take it to the big guys guns blazing!! GOOD LUCK!!

This is a brilliant website I use regularly – https://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/layer?topicId=1075197656
Get £1000 together and contact Moda Software:
They have a social networking product that has all of the key functionality of facebook, all you need to know is:
> Your target audience
> Your business name (relates to the above)
That’s all you need to get started, but then it’s about spreading the word and getting people involved, that’s a whole new issue.
Their product is very modern and sleek, you definately need a nice looking website if people are to use it regularly, look and feel is a must!
Good luck
Answer by choloxIf you believe in your idea, go for it. Don’t waste time as you are competing globally. Someone, somewhere might be even thinking about it now.
Look for financing and build your own website. You may want to hire someone to build the script for you. You may want to partner with a web developer so he won’t squeal your idea. Offer him something he can’t resist.
Hope this helps.
