You have attracted some internet work here, so let me say firstly – please be very careful finding free internet work sites, a large percentage of them are scams, and be especially careful giving your personal information.
How old are you? If you are 14, you can work at a fast food restaurant, and that will help with a portion of the money you need to save.
If you are 16, you can work at any mall store part time, helping with customer service, stocking, etc…
Also, you can try to find someone your parents know to work for them under the table – I REALLY wished to save for a car, so as young as 13, my parents got me a job with their CPA I could do data entry for her after school.
If your place allows, have a garage sale. If you live in an apartment, have the sale at one of your friend’s houses. Ask your parents to submit an ad to your newspaper and be sure to make plenty of road signs.
If you have books you don’t read anymore, sell them to half-price books, or any other store that buys used books. Same with cds and video games you don’t listen to or play anymore, fye records and ZA records buys cds. Just google a local stores, like “book exchange.” With clothes and shoes you no longer wear, buffalo exchange buys them.
One last thing you could try is craigslist, but BEWARE of the scammers. They have some jobs on there that are “contract” or simply seasonal help, but if you do, make sure they say the name of the company they are hiring for, not “popular clothes store needs sales associate.”
Good luck!

You might borrow a few dollars from a parent, and a recent coin book from the local library. Take the book and money to a bank, get some change and sort through the change to remove coins of value. The valuable coins could be sold to a local coin dealer for profits that you get to keep. There are still some circulating silver coins available at banks that sell for many times their face value to dealers. Most banks will let you exchange the already looked at coins for new ones, so long as you don’t bother any customers.
Good luck, and be certain to read the coin books BEFORE you visit the banks.
