At first you thought you were hiding it from other people and then you couldn’t find it later. i.e. money.

I don’t do that…but, my mother loses things like that all the time…she hides them from everyone else (she thinks) but ends up forgetting/hiding them from herself…

Yeah it sucks I hid my keys for a lock box and I can’t find them. My passport was in it. Then I foud them with a magnet. whaaah!!!!
