I think there’s more talent now than ever before, but the traditional venues and companies are outdated and refuse to adapt to modern times.

They are not as talented and the media makes them bigger than life.

many years ago, we would recognize someones talent after their careers were over.

Now we ride the bandwagon and their backs with TMZ and OMG until they fail at what we pay them to do. They are simply entertainment, Hollywood is like a large scale human zoo and you all let them into your homes on your LCD widescreens to make a mess out of your values. If we stop watching, will they stop performing?

I agree with Chungyen to a certain extent. I think that there is so many artistic people across the globe that the companies that actually sign the(ir) talent has a horrible listening ear or just want quick money.

Take for example these “one-hitter-quitter songs”

I hope you catch my drift. Some of the music I hear I am left speachess because of how terrible it sounds and what the lyrics represent.

I think that the up and coming artists have a bum deal b/c you have to work so hard to prove yourself. The fault lies in the lap of the companies/individuals that wants a quick buck
