We are not affected one way or another. We carry no credit card balances over from month to month.Answer by Huggy
It’s hurt me significantly.
My rates have gone up and my credit limits have gone down.
One card was canceled for no reason. I have great credit and always pay bills on time.
Edit: I see some people don’t use credit cards. Apparently, you may not see the advantages of credit cards, when used responsibly.

Hurt–my interest rates skyrocketed to pay off others’ debt. I do not qualify for any of the previous cardholder bailouts (I am thankful for that), but I have paid for it. I think this “reform” may be a direct result of what they already did. Obama can’t afford to have to pick up the Citibanks and GE Money right now, with his trillion dollar non-compromise of a health bill, so he’s just making due until it’s absolutely necessary.Answer by Barry auh2o
Help you? “Screw you” might be more accurate.Answer by LadySnowbird
We cut up all of our credit cards several years ago. This credit reform is to cut predatory card companies under control. Some were charging as much as 72% interest without sending notice. Also, protect the college kids from getting into credit trouble. Credit Card companies can not get them to sign up … unless they have a job and are over 21 yrs old.Answer by Syllogistic Libertarian
I had four cards before this all started, with a relatively small balance on the one with the lowest APR. Since the credit reform bill passed I have seen my interest rates rise anywhere from 4.75 to 8.5%, one card has started charging an annual fee that they didn’t before, another has instituted a fee for NOT using its card often enough, and Discover simply cancelled my card. And my credit score is over 800. I guess I’ll pay off the one card with a balance, find one without an annual fee or inactivity fee, and cut myself down to one kept for emergencies. It’s more an annoyance than anything else, but I still feel like I’m being punished because dumb forkers can’t figure out how credit works.

Answer by Smart KatOver all, I think the reform will help those with bad credit and hurt those with good credit.
Some of the changes were good but other changes only help those who are irresponsible.
