What are the good and BAD side effects of chemicly straightening your hair? Profesionally of course.

good: your hair is straight and you dont have to straighten it every day.
bad: it gets really frizzy and damaged and costs a lot and it grows out eventually.

I think that the good thing is that you dont have to straighten your hair everyday!!
The bad thing is that it can sometimes break off the ends of your hair. That’s what happened to my sister when she got it chemically straightened!!
Answer by England Girlyou get lots of hair loss, and it gets relli thin as well. and in the long run, its just bad for ur hair coz all the chemicals can damage it, causing it to be frizzy, dry and prone to split ends. if u do want it, then make sure u condition and moisturie it well and brush gently and dont snag it. hope this helps : )Answer by toxicsmog14
chemically straightening can cause hair to be destroyed if not properly handled. hair can be so frizzy it looks almost unstraight. but if taken care of it looks great and causes less damage than excessive flat ironing
