I think a bridal shower is a party to help prepare and embrace all things that come with the big day- maybe a massage, pedicure/manicure, waxing (eyebrows, legs, whatever she might want waxed if she likes waxing), lingerie, etc. I think it would also be nice if all of you wrote four letters to her (maybe one for when times are tough, one to boost self-esteem, one to let her know some of your favorite memories you shared, and one that says whatever you want it to say). This will be nice to have because everyone needs encouragement, support, a shoulder to lean on and at 3am it isn’t always available when you need it.Answer by Emily White

Lingere!! Sex items to use on the wedding night, different lubes and toys!!Answer by Carmen
Unless the invite specifically requests lingerie or naughty gifts, don’t go there. Think..makeup palets, bubble baths, goodies from sephora. Gift certs to nordstrom or victorias secret. She’s gonna get plenty of household stuff later…things she can use for the wedding and honeymoon to make her feel special.Answer by zilmag
Things that are just for her, not for her new household. Lingerie, but not sexy lingerie. Boutique toiletries. If cooking is her hobby, you could get a nice piece of cookware; if she sews, a nice piece of sewing gear, if she’s the gardener, something for that. But not just housewares – something special for her particular interests. Books – reference books, or advice / humor.
Usually there’s a registry. You, the shower-thrower, could encourage her to set one up and suggest the price range her guests can comfortably buy in.
Answer by nova_queen_28The BEST gifts are ones off her registry because you know she needs or could use those items.

Sheets and towels are the most fun to give and get, especially if they are really nice ones. Less practical items, like crystal vases are also lovely gifts.Answer by armygirlfriend2011
Is she having a house warming party as well? If so, avoid the house wear because she will be getting plenty of that at the house warming party. If she is having a house warming party I would suggest getting her items like: bubble bath and bath salts, gift cards, makeup, makeup brushes, lotions and perfumes, jewelry, picture frames, candy, and candles.
If she isn’t having a house warming party go for items like: pots and pans, salt and pepper shakers, stationary, sheets, towels and wash cloths, storage bins, silverware, spice rack, etc.
