rtkn5158: How to tell gender in “Kisser Fish”?
I purchased two pink “kisser” fish about a year ago. One of them has gotten larger but the other hasn’t grown at all. I am wondering if this is a sign of gender. How do you tell the gender in “kisser” fish?

it is almost impossible
they have no external signs
only way to tell the sex of kisser fish is look at top fin female as a small fin /male as a large finAnswer by Saucy
Do realize these fish will reach 10″ in length and are very aggressive, so my guess is the other one is hoarding food from the smaller one. Size is no indication of gender. What you need to do is look at the dorsal fin. Males have a pointy tip on their dorsal, while females have a rounded dorsal.
