Emily: Fast food “working interview”?
I’ve survived the first interview, and they want me to do a ‘working interview’, where they’ll see how I handle customers. Is there anything I should be aware of/any tips? Thanks.

I would never agree to doing a working interview unless they were paying me to do the job.
Try to be as pleasant and as attentive as possible to the customers. Maybe go into a fast food place prior to and observe how the workers act and are doing their job. It might help you.Answer by James5678
I did one of these way back in my student days for a part time manager position – it was spread over 2 days. They’ll throw a lot of stuff at you and get you to do some of the toughest jobs in the place to test how you’ll react. They’re looking for intuition and common sense. They’re not only looking to see how you work with customers, they’ll also watch closely to see how you interact with other employees and they’ll talk to them for feedback to see what kind of a team player you are. Even at break times, they’re watching you – nothing you say or do during the working interview is off the record so keep any negative feelings about the experience locked inside you! Just keep your energy levels high, keep smiling, do what they ask you and then some and offer help to other team members when you can.
I got through my working interview and ended up working in one of these places for a year while doing a university degree and while it lasted, it was fun and I met a lot of good people.
