Best of luck to ya!
Answer by letseatIf your near LA I would suggest FIDM. It’s a good college with a good rep in your area. As for courses it really depends on what college you go to. Some design colleges like SCAD require students in their first year to take history, science etc. the first year while also taking design classes. Others like Parsons go straight into Foundation courses which is typical of a design school. You can always contact FIDM and ask them about their services. There pretty nice people and you can even e-mail them a question if you want and they should reply. Just go on their website.
As for experience, most colleges will ask for a portfolio that shows some experience. If you have no idea what that is I would suggest visting the campus or calling and they might help you get some info on that.
And after your done your 4 years you get a degree in whatever you major. For example if you do Fashion design you get a degree in fashion design.
Answer by lsugirl06i graduated in fashion merchandising from LSU and you still have to take your basic education classes the first year or two, but it might be different at an art college. i think LA has a school like the fashion institute of technology in NY.
