Answer by MoonRoseTo find the percent of something, multiply. To write a percent as a fraction, just place the percent number over 100. To write a percent as a decimal, just move the decimal point two places to the left (or divide it by 100).
12% of 50 = 12/100 * 50 = 3/25 * 50 = 150/25 = 6
80% of 25 = 80/100 * 50 = 4/5 * 50 = 200/5 = 50
You can do this the same way with decimals, by multiplying 50 by 0.12 and multiplying 25 by 0.8.
Answer by Josephjust use the top number divide by the bottom like 6/3 is equal two. same theory will apply to percent.Answer by KD129
Multiply the percent times the number.
12% out of 50
12% * 50 = 6
6/50
80% out of 25
80% * 25 = 20
20/25
Remember: When multiplying percents, you can change the percent into a decimal by moving the decimal place over two spaces.
80% = 0.80
12% – 0.12
