Peenut: Can employers subsitute your vacations days when ever they want?
Just wondering if companies force you to take vacation days when times are slow? The problem is that they have put us on 32 hours a week, then came back and said that they are going to make everyone take 8 hours of vacation for the week. First of all this makes no sense, since they will end up paying us 40 hours now. Secondly, and most important, is this legal? Especially if you purchased vacation days during flex enrolment.

You should check your union handbook or check your contract. You may even be able to ask your human resources administrator.
