lil miss helpful: What do i do to become a home economics/food technology teacher?
I have decided i want to teach home economics/ food technology when i finish school but i don’t know where to! I keep looking on certain websites for information but none of them help me. Does anyone know what universities i could attend. I don’t care where i study in the UK. I am aware that i would have to do a degree in that subject and then a course that will give me QTS. Please help me!

Here in the US it’s called Family and Consumer Sciences. Look at programs in Health and Human Development or similar fields.
Best of luck.

The TDA website is a good place to look. You can also look at the UCAS website and search for universities that do Teacher Training with Design Technology and QTS. If you are sure you want to be a teacher that is a more useful route than getting a degree and then a PGCE. Of course this depends on where you’re willing to study.
