z_o_r_r_o: Is Easter considered a national holiday for holiday pay?
I think my employer is trying to screw me out of holiday pay. Isn’t Easter a national holiday?
By the way, I DID work on Easter.

Technically its a religious holiday.
I didn’t get paid, nor was I given a day off.
No one even wished me a “Happy Pesac.”
I guess Easter and Passover are the red-headed step children of holidays….
Answer by goodlittlegirl11Unfortunately, it doesn’t count. My boyfriend had to work- no holiday pay, no bonus pay, just people surprised he was working. (He’s a cable tech) Anyway, here’s an official listing of “National Holidays” and how it works.
Although I know we don’t get off for Flag Day or Veteran’s Day, either.
Answer by Dr. Luvit depends completely on company policy…I know companies who legally don’t pay holiday pay for Christmas
