Virinchi: How much will a domain cost ?
I need a domain to host my website, i checked few sites which give free hosting but in the URL i need to put their site name. Tell me the least price for a domain. I want it in INR. I will be very happy if you can just post the link too. I don’t have a card [ credit debit etc etc] Is there a way to pay them other than that, like i convert the cash into e-money via some post office ? something like that ? please help me. Thank You.

godaddy.com is probably your best bet.

You probably ought to go to a bank and get a debit card or use paypal.

Some hosting websites offer free domains when you sign up with them. The price also depends on what you want your domain name to be, if its a popular name they cost more, most domain names cost around $ 1 – $ 5 however iv’e seen some all the way up in the millions, you also have to pay for the amount time of registration which varies. Just search google for domain names.

“free” and “my own domain” don’t go together. Although it isn’t expensive, you will
need to pay $ 15-$ 20 a year US, as I remember.

But are you using your own servers for the website? If so, do you have a static IP?
Without that, you are looking at DDNS anyway.

Many paid website throw in a domain name as part of the cost.

Free services offer a sub-domain, not a real domain name. This means your site address will be something like , not www.yoursite.com. This way your website doesn’t look professional. On the other hand, there are some limitations with free web hosting services. In a word, if you want to have a serious presence on the web, you must pay for it. I recommend get a reliable company to do that in return for a few dollars.
