Ɓɛɑʋʈifʋl Ɲiɡɦʈɱɑɾɛ ◦Rɛlɛɳɫlɛss◦: Do you think we follow celebs a little too much these days?
Like you get news articles saying something like “Jennifer Anistons diet ruined as she purchased a chocolate bar” and things like that. (Just an example! Lol) and now shock horror, Cheryl Cole is planning an image change… that made the Yahoo headlines alongside the guy who kept tigers in his freezer…
No wonder so many celebs have break downs.

yes. Did you see on the headlines today online that cheryl cole is getting a new image. I just thought “oh my god is this what britain has turned into???”The daily mirror and the sun are supposed to report news but theyre always covered in celeb crap . Im sick of seeing articles about katie price, posh, and cheryl cole on every magazine cover and its always about (a) their weight or (b) their love life. Its no wonder so many girls are anorexic honest to god its a disgrace
yes, i think people do.
i think that even though they are famous they still have a right to have privacy even more so when its personal as there are some times children involved.
for example john terry , yes he may of had an affiar but thats between him and his wife not the whole world. a normal working person would not be stripped of his job or demoted because he had an affiar so why should some who is famous. if it was in papers etc… all that would not have happened. the reporters did not give a second thought to those who are involved like the children.
but hey, thats my opinion

the world we live in now is celebrity-obsessed.
i was shocked at that cheryl image change being on the front page too :/!
but sadly, we do live in a culture that is overly-obsessed with the celebrities.
but what truly annoys me about it is that the magazines magnify everything they do to sell magazines or whatever, lke someone goes out without makeup on and perhaps theyre ‘depressed’ or ‘having a breakdown’ 😐
but, to be fair there are many celebrities who act up for all this, and we all seem to just follow it along, and for some reason we’re interested so much about these peoples lives.
you may aswell get a telescope and start watching what your neighbours upto :/
buuuut, anyway – yes, i do think we do :P.Answer by shopperholic
Yes. I think everyone listens to the headlines to much.
And you do start to undersatand why celebs break down, Mainly because people listen and follow celebs as ‘rome models’.
but the press like to do this type of things just to get more dirt.
To be fair i just don’t listen as much anymore.
