Mr. MacArthur: Do you think the tree at the White House should be named the “Holiday Tree,” or the “Christmas Tree”

The Christmas Tree….why change the name of the holiday because some tree-hugging, pot-smoking, save-the-world, starbucks drinking liberals think that it is unconstitutional….Remember if it weren’t for Jesus Christ, our saviour of our sins, being born then there would be no Christmas
Of course it should be a Christmas tree– to call it a holiday tree is to improperly identify the tree. If we just call it a “holiday” tree, should we put up a spruce tree for July 4th also, or for labor day? It would be like calling a menorah just a “holiday candlestick”. to mis-identify these symbols is to take away from the religious significance of the symbols, and should be taken as an insult to those who celebrate these holidays.Answer by joecoolug
It really doesn’t matter. Christmas, as you may know means “Christ’s birth.”
However, something that few people know is that holiday comes from the Latin (I think it is Latin…) word “Haliek Doeg,” which literally means “Holy day.” There is no reason to be outraged over them changing the name, because they don’t know that they’re changing it to “holy day.”
