No…I dont donate to people with cans. Even if its a charity. Truth is—giving to a more organized charity group is a safe bet because you know it will go to the actually cause…not to fund the tin cans or little posters teens hold up an hour a day for a few days.

i donated to st josehp’s last christmas, and they are almost making me regret it, they keep sending me loads and loads of junk mail, and they sent my info to other charities who are now sending me junk mail without my permission. i dont plan to donate to them again. this year salvation army.

I donate on a regular basis (monthly) to a local animal shelter, a local children’s charity, the Salvation Army and our local library. I donate yearly to Shriner’s Hospital, Christian Children’s Fund, National Cancer Society and the United Way. Then I make sure I give whenever someone in my area has some sort of fundraiser. They have had a house fire, or a child with a disability or a disabling injury or illness. I do donate internationally during extreme disasters, the tsunami, earthquakes, drought ect.
We are all in this together, it is up to us to help each other out. I tend to stay local unless the need is very extreme.
