crazyck7: Credit Card I can get with no credit history?
I’m 19 years old and currently have no credit cards or credit because I have an “insufficant credit history.” Yeah. My Aunt was telling me that I could get a credit card from another state (I’m from New York) more easily. So my question is where can I get a credit card!? Are there any websites that will send me one so I can gain some credit??

You might be able to get a secured credit card, this is one where you put up money up front (usually a few hundred), and your credit limit is that amount of money. Of course you can’t go buying tons of stuff with a credit card like this, but it *is* a good way to start; once you’ve had a card like this for a while and managed it correctly, you will start to get a good credit history, and you’ll be able to apply for *real* credit cards and charge cards and such.
As far as where to see what cards are available and apply, check this page: https://www.credit.com/products/credit_cards/secure.jsp
Answer by quizzard123Nooo, an out of state card will be no easier to get. All credit card companies access the same credit reporting agencies.
All you can do is get a secured credit card. You pay a certain amount (say $ 500) into an account, and the bank issues you a card with a $ 500 limit. The initial money isn’t used to pay the card, it’s just used to secure it. Eventually, if you use the card, and pay it off on time, they will begin to raise your limit. Slowly, you are building a credit history, but it takes time, lots of time.

I’d try not to use more than $ 20 on any of them and pay them off every month. Also, watch for their yearly fees.
Now, I’d look for secure credit loans at a bank instead of credit cards because it’s easy to get carried away with the available credit and then make your life miserable.
