: Is this song appropriate to sing at my college musical theatre audition?
I have my audition coming up next weekend and although I have many backup songs, I recently found the perfect song that I would love to sing for my audition as it fits my voice perfectly. Would the song “Never Neverland (Fly Away)” from the upcoming musical “Home” (composed by Scott Alan) be appropriate/legitimate to sing? The show is currently off-broadway but is planning an opening on Broadway this year.
The audition calls for 2 minutes of a song from the musical theatre repertoire.

If you feel that’s the song you want to do and will do great at, do it.
Well I would say its apropiate to do but what worries me is if youre able to find a good song sheet/musical score for this song, since its probebly not published in any books yet. Another issue can be if its an new song thoose running the audition hasnt probleby heard it and thus cant really judge youre singing qualties from it.
As for song recomendendations I would recomend something that fits you and nots overdone (Like Memory from Cats is probebly way overdone but Macavity from the same show isnt.) Johan
