try airplane models or those model toys that you have to build yourself like ships, cars and motorcycles.Answer by ayyy205
wow, some people will post anything to get points … lame!
i would buy different size pieces of wood and paint them solid colors.
then add a wire hanger.
look up funny sayings on google.
i made one for my dad that said “my wife said i had to choose between her and golfing … im sure gonna miss her!” and painted golf balls and tees on it.
its personal, inexpensive, and fun to make.
How old are you? What’s your skill level/budget? What are his interests?Answer by monica k

how about a METAL ROSE?
buy some brass sheets and a piece of 1/8 diameter copper pipe about 12″ long.
The brass sheet should be thin and flexible, so when you bend it with your hand it can be shaped easily
Some hobby stores or a home depot will sell thin brass sheet.
buy 2 pkgs of 4 x 10, if it’s an assortment.
You’ll need a soldering iron, 100 Watt is the best. Lead free Solder and Solder flux, and safety glasses.
careful the brass sheet can be sharp.
Take out a sheet of brass, and you know the shape of rose petals?
use a pencil to draw out shapes of rose petals on the brass sheet, the shape should be about 1/2 inch straight at the bottom, half rounded on top and straight on the left and right sides.
then take an old pair of scissors, cut out the shapes of about 20 petals.
lay out all the pieces of cut rose petals on a newspaper n table.
Then place a small amount of solder flux paste at the bottom of each rose petal, and then melt some solder, with your soldering iron, there just enough to coat the bottom back of the petal about 1/8inch wide. side to side. Don’t puddle the solder, ur just adding enuf solder to kind of plate it.
This is called TINNING.
So once all the petals are pre tinned, then cut out a small 1 inch circle of brass sheet, and fully tin this circle on both sides with the solder.
Last tinning, add the flux to one end of the copper pipe and tin that end with the solder.
Now mount the 1 inch tinned circle to the top of the pipe: do this by standing the tinned end of the copper pipe onto one side of the tinned circle and press the soldering iron into the copper pipe where the edge of the pipe meets the tinned circle. Heat it up for about 10 seconds, and the circle should stick to the pipe.
You should then unravel the solder and add in a small amount on the edges around the pipe, just enuf to fill in gaps.
Then turn over the pipe/circle, and solder 1 rose petal on the farthest edge outside the circle, See if you can fit 6 rose petals on the bottom layer soldered.
Then continue layering and soldering all ur rose petals working inward toward the center.
Offset the petals as you work inward. In other words, dont solder them on top of each other exactly.
Once all pedals are soldered, then use ur fingers to careful bend the rose petals inward to make life like shapes of real petals.
If ur creative, you can make a center bend on the inside of each and then bend the top ends slightly downward.
You’d wanna do this soldering outside cause the flux would smell up ur room or house, but its very necessary because the flux is ur best interface to making a quick solder job and strong bond between metals.
