sh&t dudes what the hell is a gas cap. and where is it. give me a link of a picture if possible, I posted a question regarding my check engine light and some say to check the gas cap. problem is. ” im only 16 years old and don’t know s___t. about cars.” hurry please i have my test tommorow at the dmv.
sorry folks. sily me. i forgot what that was. totally forgot. nope. i tighten the gas cap and it is still on. damn i guess im gonna have to use random car.

dude take f*cking cable off and the light will go off for a few days. or go to autozone and beg them to erase the code for you dam!! or buy the check engine light from them and erase it yourself. and the gas cap is the freaking thing you unscrew when you put gas in the car.

the gas cap is where you put the gas in it at,we don’t know what kind of car it is,so we couldn’t know where the cap is at on that one,but if its loose that will make the light come on,good luck.

The gas cap is part of the sealed system that pressureizes your gasoline for the fuel injection process. You need pressure to make the fine spray they now have in fuel injected cars. The light won’t go out until you get a shop to reset it…could be the cap is bad and it is leaking air. The shop is your only hope
