Can your thumbs really turn green from too much gardening?

SM: Can your thumbs really turn green from too much gardening?
I’ve heard that one or both of your thumbs can turn green from gardening. I myself am an avid gardener, but I don’t want green thumbs. Is there any way of preventing this? Thanks.

yeah hospital emergency rooms are overcrowded with people who have green thumbs from too much gardening

Yes, they can, but only from grassstains, jsut wash your hand and there y’ go.
