curious: can you bring a soccer ball in your hand carry on the airplane?
i’m moving and flying to seattle today. i love soccer and i just got a new soccer ball….can i bring it with me on the flight because if i can’t, i’ll have to throw it away =(
won’t they deflate it though?
although i think for this airlines i’m allowed one hand carry, and i need that hand carry….so does that mean i cant bring the soccer ball unless i put it in the bag?

Yes, there isn’t a problem, though the arline might count is your carry-on piece. If they try to, tell them it doesn’t weigh much and you’ll keep it under the seat in front of you.Answer by [email protected]
yeah, just don’t throw it at the flight attendant!Answer by Cheezy®
Go ahead and just kick it down the street because they wont let you unless you pass it through the x-rays or get it checked J/K
they will!!Answer by Yankee Empire
Yes, you can, I love soccer.Answer by JAYNE
I dont see why you couldn’t take it on. Everyone is aloud a carry on bag and a soccer ball is smaller so dont throw away your ball.Answer by Mihay
Yeah, by the way, 5 seconds ago, i’m glad i can share how bad it hurts when u get hit in the eye with a dart. its still stuck in it so i’m blind in that eye now. IT HURTS!!!Answer by Flyboy
Why don’t you just deflate it and put it in your carry-on? It’s a lot more convenient to carry when it’s not full.Answer by Ray KS
Funny you should ask this question, today i had a kid come on with 3 soccer balls from germany (My flight was from Singapore to Brunei) According to our airline procedure, he may carry them in the cabin as long as they’re deflated.Answer by mattwbell
I you cherish it that much, why don’t you deflate it yourself and pack it. I don’t think you will have problem hand carrying it on the plane, but it is a risk. Normally the airlines allow one carry one and one personal item like a purse. So call it your personall item.Answer by nerris121
Yes, of course. I’m a pilot and trust me, I know what you can and cant take on the airplane.Answer by norbertovalladares
