Danny: Can i connect different speakers to my home cinema?
I have Panasonic hom cinema out of the box,
can i upgrade my speakers to some B&W ones just by snipping and stripping the existing cable and souldering them to the B&W speaker cable?
or is it not as simple as this? guessing you have to match up wattage and ampage but if they did match could i just do this?
thanks alot!

You can do that just fine as long as you dont overpower your speakers. If you do that you will get distortion and can damage the speaker.
Your B&W speakers are high end speakers and should be powered by a separate more powerful receiver than one of them home theater in a box. Yes, they will work fine and then you are not getting the ful benifit the speaker is capable of producing. It’s a like buying a sport car and only going the speed limit and using regular instead of supreme gas for it.Answer by Michael s
BBT is right, you would not want to hook up B & W speakers to a shelf system or pre-box HT system. I doubt it would hut the system, but chances are the system doesn’t push enough power to drive the speakers. You could not put hummer tires on a Chevy Cobalt, it just would fit. Just like the high end speakers you have, won’t get enough power to be driven by the amp of that HT you have.
