Shadow E: Can a Person living in Nyc who is a tenant living in the apartment rent out his room to other people?
This person is renting two apartments and had them converted into one big apartment. He made three bedroom within the apartment and renting them out. He’s not the landlord, is he under violation for renting out to people and, is there a violation code for it?
I forgot to add he has survelliance cameras inside the apartment all over the place. In , the kitchen, living room, outside the door to the rooms, on the roof of his apartment. Also, He rents only to women and won’t allow them to have their boyfriends visit them at all. P.s. He’s not Gay…
And, He lives in the Apartment too.

Yes and No!
if the renter guy makes agreement with the landlord for such condition, then it is yes. check your tenant agreement then consult a attorney.

NYC not sure yet cos i rent out the whole penthouse.
