Books……?

asylum: Books……?
I need suggestions on any good books. I like older writers/ books. But it needs to be understandable (not like this thou art there) … I don’t like mysteries… Anything is good except mysteries. I like books about mythical things espically vampires. Any suggestions are apprectiated…. Thanks :]

Funniest book I ever read was Mapp and Lucia by EF Benson, written in the 1930s I believe. Give it a try – it’s totally charming.

Anne Rice’s books are MUST reads! She has a vampire series and a witch series that mixes in… I’ll type out the order of the series so you won’t get confused.

I can read The Mists of Avalon (Marion Zimmer Bradley – 04 books), Ramses (Christian Jacq – 05 books) and Becky Bloon (Sophie Kinsella – 05 books).

I really like the series Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. it’s about vampires, but it gives it a cool twist.

I love Meg Cabot (Heather Wells & Queen of Babble) and Sophie Kinsella’s (Shopaholic [soon to be movie] & Remember Me) books. I am in the process of reading Emily Giffin’s (Something Borrowed & Something Blue) books. They are all great authors!

For I teen I recommend Meg Cabot’s young adult books. She is the best author. Also best selling. She wrote tons of books including the Princess Diaries (Movies based on her books), Mediator (upcoming movie), 1-800-Missing (TV show based on her books), Jinx, and more. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her.

Christine Feehan’s “Dark” series is good and so is Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunter series. Both have vampires in them.

Karen Marie Moning has some good time travel books that have everything from vampires to shades to druids in them.

Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series is time travel based, but also has other stuff pop up in it, like witchcraft, monsters and ghosts. Definitely not as mythical as the others but a good all-around series.
