How to block a persistent spammer from access to my mail box?

Forrestc: How do I bloc a persistent spammer from access to my mail box?
I get scores of the same spam message in my box daily. Although they are deposited in my spam mail folder, I still have to go through these daily for obvious reasons. Is there a way to block this hacker?

No unfortunatly, you have to keep emptying the spam folder when they come.

You can block his address, here’s how:

1. Click Options in the upper-right corner of your Yahoo! Mail page.
2. From the list on the left, click Spam.
3. In the middle of this page, in the space provided in the “Blocked Addresses” section, enter the email address from which you don’t want to receive mail.
4. Click Add.
5. Click “save changes” at the top of the page.
6. The address now appears on your list of blocked addresses.

You may block up to 500 email addresses. You can see how many of your blocked addresses you’re using beside the list – for example, “4 of 500 used”.

You can block that address. Look for the ‘Options’ link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it
Options /mail options
Click on ‘spam’ in the list on the left.
Then in ‘Blocked Email Addresses,’ enter the E-mail address you wish blocked, in the box after ‘Add a blocked address’ and click on the ‘add’ button, then click on ‘save changes’ at top left of screen.
You will never get mail from that address again.
