: When the Bible mentions leprosy, is it referring to a large variety of diseases?
In different context, the term leprosy sounds like it is something different.
I don’t believe that the Biblical leprosy is Hansen’s disease because Hansen’s does not cause the skin to turn white.
What do some of you Bible scholars think?

Why the ignorance?
Unlike yourself who obviously has never ever seen a leper nor I assume had any medical training or you would not be making such silly statements I have actually worked with lepers in China and the Far East! I can assure you that white pigments are found in leprosy particularly when claw hand and the loss of the septum stage is occuring!
