Waterlily: How do I attach house numbers to vinyl siding?
Brand new house has vinyl siding and I need to put my house numbers on it but I dont know how. The numbers I bought are metal and have little nails to nail in, but I dont think I can nail it in the siding. Can I glue it somehow without messing up the vinyl? If so what glue do I use? I just dont want to mess up my new house.
THanks!!! My husband and I got some screws today and will try it. Several people mentioned that, so I cant pick a best answer! Ill let the people vote, Thanks again!

I would suggest clear silicone. You can get it where you get caulk. You will need to use a piece of tape to hold the numbers until they are dry (about 4-6 hours), but that should hold them quite sufficiently.
the same way you would attach them to wood ….with screws.Make sure you get solid brass numbers so they wont rust and you wont have a bunch of screw holes showing every time you replace the numbersAnswer by shawnd518
Use tiny screws, you are correct thinking that the nails won’t work. You might have to drill the holes in your numbers a bit larger. Adhesives can fail after time.Answer by jason m
Screws will work, use longer (1 1/2″) to hit the sheathing underneath. Back them off a bit if they pull in the siding. If these are the thinner painted letters, pop rivets will work well.Answer by dmarie_333
I hear ya about not wanting to nail through the siding. I used epoxy, I even used epoxy to glue numbers to a big boulder at the end of my driveway and that worked too!Answer by joe
Use liquid nails or f-26. You put it on the numbers like caulk, then stick them in place. It dries real fast and the numbers will never fall off. Just don’t put it on there too thick or it will squeeze out the side and show.`Answer by kayneriend
Do not glue them. Use the right lengh of screws. Good luck!
