Atheists: How many of you fell in “love” with your chemistry sets when you were children?

The Rev. Barnum Fife: Atheists: How many of you fell in “love” with your chemistry sets when you were children?
Do you allow yourself to “love” other people now, when both the “love” you feel and its object are no more than meaningless chemical reactions?

It’s all part of the way nature tricks you into playing along. “Look at that little babby, he’s sooooo CUTE!” Bah.

Of course love is a meaningless chemical reaction, but it’s still a meaningless chemical reaction that feels good to experience.

Guess it’s not all THAT meaningless after all 😉

Hell yes, I loved my chemistry set as a kid. I never could that test tube properly clean afterwards.

I loved them. But mom wouldnt buy me the “big” one that I really wanted

I was into my chem set until I realized that they didn’t give me any cool chemicals to play with. Then I just resorted to making my own sparklers.

Anyway, chemical reactions that bring joy to my life and enrich my overall experience are cool with me.

Answer by Invisible Talker
Never had a chemistry set. We weren’t very affluent back then.

But I disagree with love being “meaningless”. To say that you’d have to first define “meaning”. Which I don’t think you would be able to.

Answer by Robert Abuse
I understand the chemicle reactions that cause emotions, but I don`t let that stop me from enjoying them.

Babies are unbelievably cute though eh ?
